We’re Ray and Shannon — husband and wife, best friends since middle school, and the hearts behind Stone & Sling. Born in the early '80s, married 17 years, and walking with Jesus in full surrender, we’ve seen what God can do when you hand Him everything.
Our journey hasn’t been perfect, but it’s been redeemed. From chasing the things of the world to now chasing after God’s purpose, our lives — and this business — have been radically transformed by His grace.
We’re also raising three incredible kids — Aubrey (18), Ethan (15), and Charleigh (almost 12) — who love Jesus and have walked this road with us. This is more than a business; it’s a family mission, built on faith, obedience, and boldness.
Our Story
Stone & Sling was born from faith, courage, and conviction — a brand built not on trends, but on testimony. The name comes from one of the boldest stories in Scripture: David stepping onto the battlefield with nothing but a stone and a sling, confident that the victory belonged to the Lord. That same spirit drives us today — facing culture, fear, and doubt with faith that God equips the willing.
Our former name, Made In The EighTees, was playful but often misunderstood. While it carried our beginnings, it didn’t fully capture our mission. Stone & Sling does. It’s not about nostalgia; it’s about boldness. Our tagline, “Apparel with a mission. Message with a punch.”, reflects our calling: to create witness wear that hits the heart, sparks conversation, and points people to Christ.
We left behind careers that felt empty and stepped into God’s plan with nothing but faith. From buying our first printing equipment to pressing the first shirt, we’ve trusted Him to lead every step. What started small has grown into something greater than we imagined — not just apparel, but a ministry in motion.
Every design is Scripture-inspired and mission-driven. Each shirt is created to carry truth into the world, to open doors for Gospel conversations, and to embolden believers to stand firm in their faith. This isn’t just clothing — it’s armor for the everyday battles we face as followers of Christ.
